2. The critics were brutal toward this album. If you are somehow here and still don't know its backstory, to put if briefly, three members of a then-defunct (and much better) four-piece band called Talking Heads reunited without their lead singer to record this album with a bunch of vocalists working in the industry at the time, many of whom had their origins in the same scene that Talking Heads /5(28).

Apr 06,  · «Don’t take my kindness » sounds like Happy Mondays meet Marylin Manson. «No more lonely nights» has a great bass line but the reciting singing is not inspired. «Indie hair» is another good talking heads like great tune, and Matchbox 20’s front man singing suits very well if you ask me/5(14).
